1. Dave wants the team to review these web sites of CA SAR teams in order to become familiar with the organizations we will encounter.

All,
   When you have a cold beverage, some time, and a broadband connection, please go the following websites and read about the Kern County area SAR units used by the Sheriff's department.  I want you to be at least familiar with them in case we interact with them, discuss them with the locals when we're there, etc  From a cont ed\planning standpoint note their PR level and qualifications issues, like I've been moving you guys to for the last many years.  Take special note the lack of CAP because of the jurisdictional and legal issues for ground SAR in CA.
